“Ask yourself why people go out…truthfully. It’s because they want to see certain people, they want to destress from a tough day, they want to feel free through music,” says Remastered founder Brendan Sathees. This London Fashion Week, the Remastered community gathered crowds at Maison Close Mayfair for a celebration of the rebellious Von Dutch character and Afro-house sounds. Uniting a stream of guest personalities, stories, and a culturally infused DJ lineup. Kiso soundtracked the opening, followed by The Flag Twins on the decks and Kidflo closing at 3am.

Last summer was marked by a culture of headscarf-wearing in Keinemusik’s signature style, the beats of “Jealousy” by Kidflo, and a growth in Afro-House listeners. Now, in February 2026, we share a dialogue with the creative mind of Brendan Sathees, who is elevating the London nightlife scene and captured a glimpse of fusing this music genre with Y2K fashion at his recent party.

How did you enter the night scene?

I entered the night scene at the tender age of 20, knowing nothing about parties and hosted them because I wanted to make a change in people’s experience when going out.

What makes a Remastered Event? Is there a signature?

Sound sits at the core of everything we do. Now more than ever, our DJs are intentional in guiding listeners through a carefully curated sonic journey.

We programme what is often labelled as Afro house, though the term itself is something of a simplification. In reality, what many people group under this umbrella is part of a much broader spectrum of African electronic music. When approached with curiosity and proper context, the diversity within these sounds becomes clear and often familiar to audiences who may not initially realise they already connect with them.

Alongside this, we also champion melodic house in its own right. Both spaces are inherently expansive, and our sets move fluidly across a wide range of electronic subgenres. The result is that no two events feel the same. Each DJ brings their own narrative, energy, and journey to the dancefloor.

How are you feeling about the LFW spotlight?

This year I have been far more intentional about prioritising community. It is no longer simply about hosting events or filling rooms. The focus now is on cultivating a space where like minded people can genuinely connect through sound.

In that context, the London Fashion Week spotlight feels like a natural and valuable opportunity. Fashion and music have always moved in parallel. The way people dress is often a direct reflection of the spaces they choose to inhabit and the sounds they are drawn to.

Hosting an LFW afterparty for an audience that already resonates with Afro house and melodic house allows us to bring those worlds together in an authentic way. More importantly, it creates a moment to reset and strengthen the foundations of our core community, and to build forward with greater intention.

Why collaborate with Von Dutch?

Honestly speaking, I love their style and so for me it was always a cool idea to work with them. Y2K fashion is coming back into 2026 and so why not help push the revival of Y2K fashion.

With a stream of fashionable guests coming through the Maison Close door and dancing in expressive outfits, we circled the room to bring forward their energies, love for music, and find groups united at Remastered…

The Remastered event was a celebration of Y2K fashion, featuring energising waves of music and bringing together like-minded individuals. Breaking away from catwalks to dance and feel freedom. Sathees told us, “You always get taken on different journeys by the DJ,” and this Mayfair night created a place for various creatives to feel a universal admiration for Afro-House and Melodic music. As London Fashion Week wraps up, it is intriguing to wonder what other communities Remastered will create?

Deepest gratitude to Brendan Sathees founder of Remastered for the warm press invitation. Thank you to Kiso, The Flag Twins and Kidflo for the music. Thank you to Sophia Stefellé for photography support. And thank you to the guests for bringing Remastered vibes. Published February, 2026.
